"Very informative article - I hope there's even more!

If you're willing to share, what theme have you got at the moment? I'd love to know if it's a free one."

Hi Toni! It seems as though they are currently out of stock (http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_10104_004W706607110001P?sid=BVReview). I would try calling K-Mart to see if they are still willing to take orders.

I am working on a Jackie Ormes; The Cartoonist research paper and needed to know if the Out of Sequence: Underrepresented Voices in American Comics exhibit received any reviews - especially, specific to Mrs. Ormes visual art and cartoons?

Is the Patti-Jo Doll being sold in K-Mart stores today - February 2009?
If not, is there a way to find out where this doll is currently being manufactured?

I had never even heard of Torchy Brown until I came across a special of NickNews just the other day, but I must say that I'm glad I've had a chance to come across it. I'm a young black woman who loves to draw and loves reading the sunday comics. I think it's really cool that Mrs. Jackie Ormes had the courage to create something different from what people were used to that still lives on today.

The original Patty Jo doll had hair of a coarse quality that was representative of African American hair.
